Homework due, 10.21: Documentation + Project Statement

Now that you have your completed wallet map it’s time to document your work and draft a project statement.

I. Documentation
Working collaboratively you will develop a concept for photographing the wallet. Through your documentation viewers should understand how the object functions both as a wallet and as a map that references 14^th street.

There are many options for how you document this project.
You can:
-Stage a photo shoot on site with potential a user

-Photograph the wallet alone and present it as a product, museum artifact, or object related to a stage or site.

*Be sure whatever option you choose viewers understand that the wallet is also a map

The documentation will be presented in the form of a poster, 14” x 17” (with a .25” white boarder on all sides). You can print this size using the large format printer on the 4^th floor of 55 West 13^th Street.

II. Project Statement
Working collaboratively you will develop a project statement so that if your piece were exhibited viewers could understand the concept and goals of the wallet map.

Information to include (not necessarily in this order):
-Title of your project
-Team participants
-What is the purpose of the project?
-What are you mapping?
-What materials were used to construct the project?
-How does the project relate to a site on 14^th Street?
-How does the wallet map function?

Things to think about when writing a project statement:
-Clarity of writing
-Design – what font will you use / how will the text be laid out on the page so that it complements the project?
